The artichoke looks back on a long history as a cultivated plant. It was already cultivated in ancient Egypt and was known to the Romans as a noble vegetable as early as the 1st century AD. To this day, the artichoke has the reputation of being the “queen of vegetables” and enjoys an almost cult status among gourmets.

There are many small adjusting screws that can be turned to set up a company sustainably. For example, our production and all company vehicles are supplied with electricity produced in-house from our photovoltaic system (200 kW). We can therefore largely do without combustion engines. In addition, heat-loving mushrooms, which thrive at high temperatures, are only grown in summer. Cold-loving mushrooms in the cold season, in order to save heating and cooling energy. Two combined heat and power plants, which use the principle of combined heat and power, ensure a higher energy efficiency.
