A true delicacy

The maitake mushroom has been prized for centuries in Japan and China. Its German name is „Klapperschwamm“ (rattling mushroom), which likely refers to its shape. It is also known as Grifola frondosa, leaf polypore, and spatula-capped polypore. In Asia, the maitake has long been considered a true delicacy. The first written mention of this medicinal mushroom came from an 11th-century Japanese fable. The term „maitake“ translates to „dancing mushroom.“ According to legend, nuns, lost in a forest, discovered the maitake mushroom—near starvation—as a source of food. After eating the mushroom, the nuns, overcome with joy, danced exuberantly with some lumberjacks who happened to be passing by.

Breeding requires a lot of experience.

The maitake mushroom, belonging to the family of giant polypores, has beautiful, brown to glossy grayish fruiting bodies. These fruiting bodies, which grow in clusters resembling a bouquet of flowers, are soft and have a fleshy texture. For many connoisseurs, the maitake is the most flavorful of all edible mushrooms. Cultivating this mushroom is extremely difficult. Only through decades of experience in this field and continuous improvement measures are we able to cultivate it in sufficient quantities. The maitake also grows on a specially formulated organic wood substrate. The cultivation process requires constant monitoring and rapid response. Therefore, this mushroom is cultivated only by our most experienced staff.

hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) capsules

Production:
The cultivation and processing into mushroom powder capsules takes place entirely and exclusively at our facility in Limeshain, Germany. The mature, freshly harvested mushrooms are immediately and gently dried, then carefully ground into powder using a water-cooled mill and filled into HPMC capsules. Recommended intake:
Take 1 Maitake capsule 3 times daily with meals and plenty of fluids.
Store the product in a cool, dry place, protected from light, tightly closed, and out of reach of small children. Protect from heat and store in a dry place. Consult your doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
