In East Asia, Reishi is traditionally highly valued.
Hardly any other mushroom is as revered in East Asia as the Reishi. It belongs to the Ganodermataceae family and has also shaped the art and culture of Far Eastern civilizations. The appearance of the mushroom is considered a good omen.
The Reishi fruiting body has a firm consistency. The top of the fruiting body has a reddish-brown, shiny, and smooth surface. This is also the origin of its German name, Glänzender Lackporling (Shiny Lacquer Bracket).
To obtain the whole mushroom and make it available to our customers, we also collect the valuable spores of this mushroom. These are painstakingly brushed off the fruiting bodies by our employees and added to the whole mushroom after the drying process. This ensures that the tiny spores are not lost during the drying process.
We cultivate the Reishi on a wood substrate specially produced for this mushroom. It is important that the substrate mixture, especially the wood components, is prepared in such a way that the Reishi can penetrate it and then form its impressive fruiting bodies. Particular attention must be paid to setting the correct humidity. Minor errors can lead to a severe reduction or complete failure of the harvest.

The cultivation and processing into mushroom powder capsules is carried out completely and exclusively in our facility in Limeshain, Germany. The ripe, freshly harvested mushroom is dried immediately after harvesting in our special, gentle drying process, gently ground into powder with a water-cooled mill and filled into HPMC capsules. There is no intermediate storage (e.g. in a cold store). The immediate, fast and gentle processing ensures that all important ingredients are retained and the mushroom does not lose its natural, beneficial properties for human nutrition. Traces of millet may be present.

For example, our production and all company vehicles are supplied with electricity produced in-house from our photovoltaic system (200 kW). We can therefore largely do without combustion engines. In addition, heat-loving mushrooms, which thrive at high temperatures, are only grown in summer. Cold-loving mushrooms in the cold season, in order to save heating and cooling energy. Two combined heat and power plants, which use the principle of combined heat and power, ensure a higher energy efficiency.
