The Reishi vital mushroom is one of the best-known and most sought-after vital mushrooms worldwide. In the past, Chinese emperors even sent their troops to search for it, as it has the reputation of being the mushroom of eternal life.
Even today, the Reishi – also known as Shiny Lacquer Bracket or Ganoderma lucidum – is highly valued.
We cultivate our organic Reishi on a wood substrate specially produced for this mushroom. The substrate mixtures – especially the wood components – are very carefully prepared by our employees. This allows the Reishi mushroom to penetrate them optimally and then form its impressive fruiting bodies.
The fruiting body of the Reishi has a firm consistency. The German name “Shiny Lacquer Bracket” is derived from its reddish-brown, shiny, and smooth surface. In contrast to most other mushrooms, the spores of the Reishi are found on the upper side. And this is also the special exception in our cultivation: With Reishi, the spores are carefully removed from the fruiting bodies by our employees in elaborate manual work with a brush and added back after drying. In this way, we ensure that the tiny spores are not lost during drying and that our customers have the full range of all components of the mushroom at their disposal.
Our Reishi vital mushroom capsules are manufactured in accordance with the EC Organic Regulation and are subject to the strictest quality controls. This allows us to guarantee that you will always receive Reishi of the highest quality from us!

Due to the consistency of the fruiting body of this mushroom, we do not obtain a purely free-flowing mushroom powder. Due to the natural consistency of the mushroom fruiting body, the capsule content may have a partially cotton-like consistency.
The cultivation and processing of our Reishi mushrooms into mushroom powder capsules takes place completely and exclusively in our facility in Limeshain, Germany. The mature, freshly harvested Reishi is dried immediately after harvesting in our special, gentle drying process, gently ground into powder with a water-cooled mill, and filled into HPMC capsules. The Reishi fruiting body is not stored temporarily (e.g. in a cold store). The immediate, rapid, and gentle processing of the Reishi ensures that all important ingredients are retained and that the mushroom does not lose its natural, beneficial properties for human nutrition.

For the cultivation of our organic medicinal mushrooms, we source raw materials such as corn or wood chips from regional suppliers. This gives us short transport routes and allows us to support local farmers and local businesses.
There are many small adjusting screws that can be turned to set up a company sustainably. For example, our production and all company vehicles are supplied with electricity produced in-house from our photovoltaic system (200 kW). We can therefore largely do without combustion engines. In addition, heat-loving mushrooms, which thrive at high temperatures, are only grown in summer. Cold-loving mushrooms in the cold season, in order to save heating and cooling energy. Two combined heat and power plants, which use the principle of combined heat and power, ensure a higher energy efficiency.
